


Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course
Course Description:
Venture into the outdoors with confidence! This HSI Wilderness First Aid course provides essential knowledge and skills for managing medical and traumatic emergencies in remote environments where access to definitive care is delayed. Covers patient assessment in austere settings, managing injuries (wounds, burns, fractures), treating environmental emergencies (heat/cold illness, bites/stings), addressing common illnesses, and making evacuation decisions. Includes hands-on practice relevant to wilderness scenarios. Requires current adult CPR/AED certification.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the skills session and written exam, participants will receive an official HSI Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification card (valid for 2 years).
