His journey began as a hands-on Hospital Corpsman and Paramedic, providing critical care in diverse, high-stress environments, including direct response to mass casualty incidents where his decisive actions contributed to ensuring zero loss of life during globally recognized events like the USMC MV-22 Osprey aircraft crash. Brendan rapidly progressed into significant leadership roles. As a Medical Department and Division Manager, he skillfully directed complex administrative and clinical operations across multiple hospital departments (e.g., General Surgery, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine). He expertly managed teams exceeding 260 personnel and oversaw multi-million dollar budgets, consistently driving improvements in efficiency and quality of care. His strategic initiatives, such as brokering vital equipment contracts that drastically reduced inconclusive tests and saved significant funds, earned Joint Commission 'Best Practices' recognition, showcasing his operational and financial acumen. His expertise deepened significantly in emergency preparedness. Serving as an Emergency Management Director, Brendan was responsible for orchestrating comprehensive emergency plans and response operations ensuring the safety and readiness of over 236,000 personnel across vast regions like Okinawa and the Western Pacific. He developed disaster protocols, conducted risk assessments, managed large EMT teams, and fostered crucial inter-agency collaboration during crises. Critically for CPR-Life Services, Brendan is a highly sought-after and experienced instructor. As a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Instructor, he has delivered thousands of hours of mission-essential training to military units and first responders. His targeted training demonstrably boosted hospital readiness (from 19% to 58% in just three months for 155 first responders) and standardized emergency medical services across multiple fire departments, earning him recognition as a Subject Matter Expert. Transitioning this wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching to the civilian sector, Brendan founded CPR-Life Services. He personally develops curricula, leads instruction, and ensures every course reflects the practical realities and critical thinking needed to act effectively under pressure.
