Description

This course teaches learners to safely assemble, operate, and administer emergency oxygen systems in respiratory or cardiac emergencies, including the selection of appropriate delivery devices and understanding oxygen safety principles.

Learning Objectives

• Recognize hypoxia and respiratory distress.
• Assemble oxygen delivery systems (cylinders, regulators, flowmeters).
• Select and apply appropriate delivery devices: nasal cannula, non-rebreather mask, bag-valve-mask, resuscitation mask.
• Maintain flow rates, monitor SpO2 with pulse oximetry.
• Adhere to oxygen safety protocols (handling, storage, environmental risks).
