Description
PALS equips providers for advanced resuscitation and acute management of critically ill infants and children (excluding neonates). Evidence-based algorithms and clinical scenarios train participants in a family-centered, child-specific environment.
Learning Objectives
- High-quality pediatric BLS and advanced airway management.
- Recognition of and intervention for pediatric shock, respiratory failure, and cardiac arrest.
- ECG rhythm analysis and medication administration based on age/weight.
- Management of bradycardia, tachycardia, and cardiac arrest (shockable and nonshockable rhythms).
- Post-resuscitation stabilization and family communication.
- Trauma management in pediatric patients.
